In today’s world, Instagram is one of the biggest and most powerful social media platforms that help to boost traffic to your website. Instagram has the potential to help you to generate new leads for your business. It’s incredibly popular and became that way in a short time. Entrepreneurs are taking advantage of this platform as it allows you to share pictures, videos and do much more things on it either publicly or privately. However, business owners should never put their profiles on private. How else will they be known otherwise?

However, there are many myths circulating about Instagram which has pushed many entrepreneurs away from using it. They are missing out on a lot by believing these myths. I want to debunk some of these myths below.

1. Instagram only works if you sell visual products, not services. No that is wrong. You can sell anything! Products AND services. What you do need are captivating visuals in order to attract new leads. It doesn’t matter what you are selling.

2. Instagram is only for customers and not for brands. Do you really believe this one? If so that is wrong. It’s because no platform is better than this for driving more traffic to your website. It allows you to share the images and videos related to your offered products and services, which helps to boost sales. Big brands like FedEx, Pepsi, National Geographic and many others are already using this platform for their business.

3. Results don’t measure. Do you think that Instagram doesn’t enable you to monitor or track your activity? That is also wrong. Instagram has an analytical platform that helps you to keep an eye on your social media activity, so you don’t need to worry about the monitoring.

4. You are unable to showcase your personality. That is also very untrue. You can showcase your personality. The occasional selfie is fine to share, as long as it appears professional enough. You can show your favourite dish occasionally. You can absolutely showcase your personality and people will like that as well.

Don’t fall for these myths. Instagram has plenty more to offer for your business if you use it in a right way, so, don’t underestimate its power and start using Instagram.
