beach white sand 4080 l There are no quick fixes but supplements can help improve situations

The first thing I want to point out is that I never, ever, ever believe in quick fixes and I never will fall into a scam, nor would I ever promote any!! That is just dirty. Well I have in the past like many of us have fallen for scams, however I have learned so much that now I can sniff a scam away. Because the fact of the matter is there are no quick fixes to anything!

There are no quick fixes to weight loss as the only way you can achieve that is through a healthy lifestyle and exercise. Many of us don’t like hearing that but it is the harsh truth. Some organic supplements, however can help speed up the process safely by helping to balance your body while you achieve a healthier lifestyle. However, this blog is not about weight loss and the challenges that come with it (I will save that for another time).

This blog is about raising a child with autism AND what CAN and WILL help him/her achieve goals later on in life. It is hard work but rewarding in many ways at the same time.

He has needed ABA therapy since he was 3 and it has helped him a lot. He has worked with different speech therapists and OT’s, but man, we are in the middle of trying to find a good one and it has not been easy. The last ones were not working out so well.

My son is almost 7 and he is on the higher functioning end of the autism spectrum, thankfully. We have had to work with him since he was 3 and that was a very difficult time of all of our lives. After learning about his diagnosis I fell into a terrible depression which took years for me to come out of. I still have my moments (and don’t we all) but I have learned so much from the experience that every milestone that has come with his development is like a huge celebration and gives me hope that he will live a decent life later on. I have also learned a lot about myself while raising my son. I still have a lot of fears about his future but I think that is the issue that every parent has regardless of whether their children have special needs of any kind or not.

My son though, for nearly 4 years has had intensive ABA therapy (minus the 6 months we pulled him out due to financial reason and sent him to the local public school where he was falling under the cracks!! That cannot happen so he is back to the ABA school) and other therapies. He has really come so far. He is however behind on his speech. But one of the other moms at my son’s school has a son with autism around hte same age as mine, but with better speech. I told her how impressive her son’s speech was, and how I could not wait until my son’s speech caught up even to that level. She then told me about a product that she has been giving him called Behavior Balance-DMG™ Liquid and she swears thanks to this product, her son’s speech and overall behavior has improved. So I figured, well… I never fall for false promises if I am getting such a strong recommendation for a product to help my son based on her positive experiences with it- why not give it a try?? What have I got to lose? If it doesn’t work, then it does not work! Okay but it sounded completely harmless and natural, and safe. What is the harm. At worst it will do nothing. This was back in December, right before the holidays when she told me this.

I ordered the Behavior Balance-DMG™ Liquid in January and started my son with it then. My son is verbal and always has been but has been used to using 3 or 4 word phrases or even single words instead of sentences. A lot of it however is due to comfort as using phrases and single words is what he has been used to using for a while. Like so many of us, he especially hates moving out of his comfort zone and talking is out of his comfort zone. He is capable of it.

My son has been on Behavior Balance-DMG™ Liquid for about a month now. Now I cannot say it has worked magic on him BUT he has not only become more comfortable with speaking as it is coming easier to him but he is using more and more sentences now (even if it about the same thing over and over again, but yep that comes with the territory lol). So I have to say, I believe using this supplement in conjunction with the therapy and a lot of encouragement from me for him to talk… it is working!!! I now have to say I swear by it. Oh yeah I also want to mention that this formula boosts the immune system.

Whenever he catches a cold, most of the time it turns into a sinus or chest infection!! Like me. We all just got over bad colds (and I ended up with a sinus infection). My son caught the cold as well, and it was a bad one. I thought for sure he would need antibiotics again! But.. he did not! He fought this cold on his own!! I feel this formula had something to do with that. He rarely fights colds on his own because it does turn into something but this time it didn’t!! So this stuff, I think it has helped my son in many ways!! Of course it is not a “cure” of any kind but a good aid in helping his development.

Behavior Balance-DMG™ Liquid is an advanced, phenol free, nutritional supplement that combines a patented N,N-Dimethylglycine (DMG) with Bentaine, Folic Acid, Vitamins B6 and B12, Zinc and Magnesium. The flavor is a decent tasting, natural black cherry flavored liquid. Some kids may still not like it but, they learn to take it or it can be mixed with juices if they are sensitive to taste. This formula is definitely created to help improve behavior, socialization skills, lower anxiety as well. I have seen less anxiety with my son as well since he started taking this. I do once again recommend it whole heartedly! You can check the product out here!

Okay this post has nothing to do with marketing but I needed to add this in! Forgive me, it is a bit of a rant! I am very lucky to have a supportive family that is helping us out when it comes to helping us financially in regards to my son’s ABA schooling. And he will need therapy and an alternative way to master academics for a while and hey that is okay! If it works in the end and if my son ends up living a good life in the end, then it is more than worth it. However, it is very, very wrong that families that have children who have special needs must pay for their children’s education!! And I hate taking from my family! I applied for funding for my son’s education and I was denied because according to their testing, “my son was high functioning enough to make it through the public system”!! BULL!!! We tried putting him in a special ed class part time at the local public school and his progress was much slower! If he stayed there it would have been a disaster. So back to my original question, why must parents or grandparents of children with special needs have to pay out of pocket to make sure their children received what they need in order to learn the way they can? Because if a child cannot learn like “typical” children do in “typical” classes then they must be forgotten about and ignored??

That is terrible and beyond wrong. Children with special needs HAVE potential to do something great in their lives and the fact of the matter is, they cannot learn like a “typical” child. And the public education system is getting worse and worse as time goes on that even “typical” children are falling through the cracks!! I know that things are poor economically but it is time to consider the future! What is our future? Our children!!! And so many children are coming into this world with autism or other special needs. When will the governments realize that they must make a change, a huge change in the education system if they want to avoid chaos in the future? Because what will happen if these issues are ignored for much longer?

More and more people living off of welfare or on the streets. Maybe overcrowding of group homes. And a horrible possibility is stressed out parents dying by the age of 60 from heart attacks due to having to care for their adult autistic children! It does NOT have to be that way! Again these kids CAN do something great, they have the potential. But the gifts cannot be tapped through “typical” education. They need specialized ABA therapies and specialized education. It is time that the government takes their heads out of the sand. Ignoring the situation is not going to make it go away. What will it take for the government to start taking this issue seriously and taking the appropriate actions?

Well the sad fact is, the government wants to keep their head in the sand. So that means it is time I do what I can to make sure that my son and other children in his position get the best.  I have a few fundraising ideas and have entered an opportunity to help with that in the future which I will be talking more about soon!! I hope to get some support in regards to this. Because even if you do not have a child with special needs, don’t count out the possibility of a close friend or family member having a special child. And hey it may even be your future grandchildren! It is time that EVERYONE takes this issue seriously. Because it is still early enough for a difference to be made.
